the wedding of allison and tom
This wedding took place at Land’s End in Sayville, New York.

It is a real pretty place set on a dead end road where you take the ferry to get over to Fire Island.

You might recall Allison and Tom’s engagement photos that we took around Christmas time in New York City in and around Tom’s firehouse, as he is one of New York City’s finest, and then our trip uptown to Rockefeller Plaza.

They purchased one of our sign in books to display at their wedding of their engagement pics and it was a huge hit, if I must say so myself.

We received so many compliments about their pictures from guests at the wedding. Along with the book, they also displayed some in frames set on the piano. Being that we had already met them for those pics, we knew we were in for a blast with these two as they are so much fun. We laugh and laugh whenever we are around them. At the end of the wedding, Allison came over and said we already know you are going to be our photographers for all the big events in our lives, not the least is the babies that will come in the future…. We can’t wait guys, and I know they will be the cutest little things with the sweetest personalities! Anyway, Allison is a school teacher and she had already told her students about her upcoming nuptials to Tom and they couldn’t have been more excited. They had all arranged to come to her house to take a picture with her in her outfit. But before we could get that accomplished, LOL, we had to get those darn buttons on the back of her gorgeous Vera Wang gown all done up. And, man oh man, they are always a tad bit hard to get closed, but Allison’s were more than a tad….LOL….we had everyone of her bridesmaids and her mom AND even Rich took a turn at the ole crochet needle to get these buggers closed. All in all, it made for some pretty funny “Scarlet O’Hara” moments as poor Allison had to lean over the dresser as it gave us something to work against with her back taught. We thought she might be handicapped, as in having a broken back as she walked down the aisle, but those buttons would be fastened and fastened they were!!!

The kids waited patiently outside her front door, hoping to spy a peak at “Miss Kintzel” as she passed. And, then the time for the reveal happened as all their mothers busily clicked away on their cameras.

Then off we sped to Lands End to meet up with Tom and the guys. Now, one particular guy, our best man, Drew, was sooo funny, he had me in stitches, so much I could hardly take photos. When we started with the guys, he was always doing these odd movements with his face and head. Finally, I was like “what on earth, Drew, are you doing?” He exclaimed “someone told him to do these contortions with his face to lose the “double chins” he claimed he had!” Well from then on, he was dubbed “chins” by me and the rest of the guys, and it proved to be hysterical throughout the picture taking. It loosened everyone up and set Tom’s pre-wedding jitters at ease. Man…maybe I can rent “chins” out for other weddings, any takers?

Drew “smoking” his straw…….oh my!

Then just as the ceremony was about to start, a few drops of rain began to fall. Would we make it? You betcha! And, what a gorgeous ceremony it was. Allison and Tom laughed and giggled at each other the whole time. Allison could not have looked any happier the whole day through.

And, Drew made a remark during the best man’s toast that all Tom wanted for the wedding was to make all of Allison’s dreams come true for this day and the rest of their lives. Everyone go on, say ahhhhhh, how cute is that??? And, that was just the way the day went, laughing, having fun, loving each other, you couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of people experiencing a super, great day.
